Am I eligible for a medicare rebate ?
Medicare can subsidise up to 5 dietitian sessions per annual calendar, with a rebate of $61.80 per session.
To access these rebates, you must be eligible for a Chronic Condition Management Plan (CCMP) sometimes called an EPC or GPMP.
You are eligible for an CCMP if you have a condition which your GP believes could benefit from a a multidisciplinary approach.
A CCMP cannot be back dated - meaning to access the rebate, you must come to your appointment with your paperwork, or get it done that day.
What about private health funds?
Depending on the type of cover you have, you can claim your dietitian consultation with your private health fund. We will send you an invoice after your appointment which you will need to do so.
